DAPHNE, ALA. (January 10, 2025) – Baldwin Bone & Joint will host a complimentary “Lunch & Learn” event featuring occupational therapist Taylor Lewis, OTR/L on Thurs., Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Spanish Fort Senior Center. Lewis’ talk is titled “Empowering Your Health: How Occupational and Physical Therapy Can Help.”
Attendees will discover practical strategies to protect their joints, improve strength, and enhance daily living through the tools and techniques of occupational and physical therapy. The presentation aims to empower seniors to take charge of their health and well-being, ensuring a better quality of life.
With more than a decade of clinical experience and seven years working in hand therapy, Lewis is part of Baldwin Bone & Joint’s hand and upper extremity team. Lewis works alongside Dr. Allison Hunter, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, in treating injuries and conditions from the shoulders to the fingertips.
“I’m passionate about equipping seniors with the knowledge and resources to stay strong, mobile, and confident in their daily routines,” Lewis said. “This session is a great opportunity to learn simple, effective ways to support your health and maintain your independence.”
Lewis holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., and licenses from the Alabama Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. He has extensive leadership training and experience including serving as a sergeant in the United States Army National Guard.
