Local Surgeon Attends Shoulder Course

DAPHNE and ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (March 16, 2017)-  Dr. John Todd, local orthopaedic surgeon in Baldwin County and medical director of The Shoulder Center, will be attending the 2017 Exactech Masters Course in Shoulder Arthroplasty in New York City from May 4 to 5.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity that attending this course provides to consult with an internationally-renowned group of fellow physicians and to discuss the latest techniques in shoulder surgery. Ultimately the benefit is passed on to my patients,” Todd said.

The Masters Course in Shoulder Arthroplasty is presented by Exactech, and the two-day conference covers topics such as scientific and biomechanical insight, anatomic total shoulder outcomes, reverse shoulder clinical outcomes, innovations in shoulder arthroplasty and discussions on actual medical cases. These topics are presented by doctors from all over the world.

According to the Exactech website, the event “will provide engaging learning opportunities for even the most experienced surgeons.” Those in attendance can expect to gain shoulder biomechanical insights as well as surgical tips from renowned faculty. There will also be a chance to learn new perspectives during the group discussion of new techniques in shoulder arthroplasty.
